Although GATLA has no grants or foundation support, we have for decades financially subsidized approximately 50+% of our summer participants. GATLA does this by shifting funds from those who pay full fee to those in need and by our faculty working for less than their usual fees. Some faculty members even donate their fees for scholarships as a way of giving back. So we are asking for help to support the expenses for some Gestalt Therapists from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South America, etc. as well as students from all over the world. We would like to help with transportation and workshop expenses and necessities. We are a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization so your contribution is tax deductable. You may wish to specify what persons, country or area of the world you would like to support. Contact Rita Resnick at firstname.lastname@example.org call 1-310-826-7700.
GATLA is a non-profit organization dedicated to training excellence in psychotherapy and making that training available world-wide. Because economies differ widely across the world, many individuals, especially in Eastern Europe, South America, Asia, and Africa are unable to pay the cost of training. Because of that and GATLA's aim to not make funding a barrier to high quality training in psychotherapy, GATLA offers scholarships whenever possible to individuals who show promise in their respective professions (psychology, psychiatry, counseling, and associated professions). Your contributions the GATLA Scholarship Fund will be used to provide training that would not otherwise be possible for an individual who will have a large impact on treatment and care in his or her community.
