Introduction to Gestalt Therapy
Workshop for Psychotherapists
Please join Daniel Kelley-Petersen, M.A.Ed., LMHC, LPC, NCC and Sarah Dyrhaug, M.A., LMHC for this one-day, in-person workshop, An Introduction to Gestalt Therapy.
Gestalt therapy is a humanistic, existential, and process-oriented therapeutic approach. Gestalt therapy lays out a clear path toward more authentic and holistic functioning through differentiated contact with oneself and the world. This results in greater capacity for connection with both self and others. The gestalt approach is non-pathologizing and based on the assumption that humans innately move toward growth and regulation within all levels of their environment.
All providers interested in a didactic, interactive, and experiential introduction to contemporary gestalt therapy are invited. Explore how a gestalt approach teaches you to identify and use your own unique internal reactions in the immediate moment to enhance the effectiveness of your personal therapeutic and interpersonal style. In this one-day intensive workshop, you will explore core gestalt concepts through theory discussions, live demonstration, supportive supervision, and hands-on practice of gestalt therapy-based skills.
